To celebrate the end of the summer, we took a little Labor Day vacay down to Chattanooga, TN this past weekend. We stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel downtown and Riley was in heaven! We slept in a traincar they converted to a hotel room -- Riley was pretty excited as you can tell by the look on his face!
The first thing we did was check out the Incline Railroad on the side of Lookout Mountain.

The view of Chattanooga was pretty spectacular!

The picture doesn't do it justice!

Riley was pretty excited to ride on the train going down the side of a mountain.

Sully was an angel...and just along for the ride.

This is the outside of our hotel room...we slept in the red train!

There was a garden in the courtyard with fountains...Riley is holding a firefighter toy he picked out at the Incline Railroad gift shop. It was the best $3 we spent that weekend!

There were fishies in the ponds too!

We ate in a train car pizza parlor. Riley has started this annoying habit of closing his eyes everytime I ask him to smile...not the last time you'll see a picture of him with his eyes shut!

The next day we went to the Creative Discovery Children's Museum...Riley enjoyed the water table!

And the hand dryer which he told Cody was only for kids!

Sully got to enjoy his very own section of the museum...

But big brother couldn't let him have the infant area all to himself...he had to get in on the action too!

Riley enjoyed playing with the interactive contraptions on display.

The lightning ball is always cool!

Riley didn't have the attention span to build a car with dad...they got a wheel installed and Riley was on to the next thing!

Building structures are always a hit with Riley! He likes to build "rockets".

Riley digging for dinosaur bones.

After the museum, we hit the Tennessee Aquarium. We went to the IMAX first and checked out the Hubble Telescope movie narrated by Leonardo Dicaprio. There were some cool fountains outside the aquarium that Riley enjoyed playing in and around.

First order of business was to pet the sharks and sting rays!

Next was to check out the penguins during feeding time!

Daddy got up close and personal with the giant crab!

Riley is showing us his penguins.

That night we checked out the world famous rib joint called Sticky Fingers...you know you're getting some good ribs when they give you a hand towel as a napkin. It was yummy! Again, Riley with the eyes closed -- geez!

Sully didn't get to try the ribs but he seemed to think the crayon box was just as delicious!

The morning before we left we went to ride on the Tennessee Valley railroad...it was an hour long ride on a real train!

WOW, what a great vacation for the boys! My son would love this...he's not even two and he's Choo-Choo OBSESSED! I may be emailing you next summer, looking for details of where all you went. :)
