Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving was hosted by Aunt Meghan and Uncle Justin this year and it was fabulous! Although Riley's Thanksgiving dinner consisted of four peanut butter blossom cookies thanks to his two year old-ness and refusal to eat turkey (even though he's had it before and likes it). However, Mommy had an awesome turkey dinner! With food, Riley's always been pretty good but lately he's been a little off and on regarding what he'll eat...I offer him what I eat and if he eats it, great -- if not, fine but no dessert and he'll have another opportunity at the next meal. Well, since it was Thanksgiving, I didn't hold firm on the "no dessert" rule...and Riley took full advantage of it. He kept coming up to me or anyone else standing around the cookies, held up his little finger and said, "Just one more?" Too cute...no one could refuse which is why he ended up having four by the end of the night. Stinker!
Here's the beautiful table set for 16 adults...the little kids sat at the typical "little kid" table -- there were 4 of them and one in a high chair. Here are the kids making ginger bread houses with Aunt Bev...Nini in the back, Artie with the crazy eyes, Jace and Riley.

Sawyer getting into everything as usual...Go Bucks!

And that night...Riley and Sawyer getting clean!

Saturday we went to Creekside to check out the holiday festival...the boys were more interested in the ducks than the holiday music or booths which was fine with us.

Jace is such a ham...he said, "Take a picture of me!" and acted like he was rock climbing.

We had a great Thanksgiving but it was missing someone...however, that someone will be back in just six days so that's what Riley and I are thankful for this year.
