Sorry for being such a slacker the past couple of weeks...we've been a tad bit busy. I decided to take the boys on a last minute trip to Florida to visit my parents before I head back to work. I flew by myself with the kids on the way down and my sister, Meghan, flew back with us. The flight down wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The flight left VERY early from Dayton...5:45AM. Needless to say, I had to wake the boys up very early to catch the flight...Sully ended up sleeping both legs of the flight and Riley slept on the second leg as evidenced below!
The first thing Riley did when we got to Nannie and Pappy's house was take his shirt off so he could go in the pool.

He couldn't wait to put his vest and googles on to jump in the warm water!

Jace and Sawyer had already been down there for a week and extended their trip another week to hang out with us. Jace was still excited about the pool even though he'd been in two to three times a day for a week straight!
Sawyer was more interested in playing with his cars and trucks but still got in as long as they were close by...

Riley and Jace were buddies the whole week...they did everything together including having "rest time" in the late afternoon while watching Curious George.

Jace loves his new cousin and kept saying, "Sully, you're so cute!"

Jace and Riley slept on a blow up matress together at the end of Nannie and Pappy's bed...it won't be too much longer before these boys are too big to fit on this matress at the same time!

Me and my boys hanging out in the pool...even though Sully's eyes are closed, he wasn't asleep. He was definitely wide awake and loved the warm water...

We couldn't pass up a little Palm Beach Ice Cream while we were there...chocolate was Jace and Riley's favorite.

Sawyer opted for the cinnamon flavor.

Surprisingly, Sawyer was enamored by Sully and wanted to hold him every single chance we gave him. It was super cute!

We took the boys to "the jungle" which is actually a wildlife conservatory...here's Riley leading the way to check out the animals.

Sawyer liked the colorful macaw.

The Florida panther was on the prowl while we were there...

Sarah had to be on her toes to keep Sawyer out of the puddles on the way to see the black bear. While Sawyer was trying to jump in every puddle he could, his brother was crying because he feet got a little wet and dirty!

We took Jace and Riley to the Irish festival in downtown West Palm Beach...they had a fun time in the bounce house!

And Aunt Meghan spoiled them with bubble guns which was a huge hit!

We took the boys to a new bouncer place that just opened there and they had a blast!

Riley loved the slide!

And so did Jace!

Jace was the only one who mastered the spider web climber...apparently he's pretty gifted because we were told not many five year olds make it to the top and Jace did it several times!

One morning the boys were playing while the adults were getting ready for the day. Riley ran in to tell Nannie that he colored himself and showed her his arms, legs, and stomach with marker all over them. Nannie takes a closer look and sees marker all over Riley's face too -- apparently Jace helped Riley "color himself." Lesson learned...if the boys seem quiet and well behaved, chances are they are up to no good!

We took the boys to the Palm Beach Zoo...Jace wanted to ride the eagle on the carousel.

Riley picked a horse and kept saying, "Giddyup!"

Riley and Aunt Trish had some bonding time while checking out the otters.

Riley loved the fountain...usually he stands back and just watches but he was pretty bold this time.

We were able to get frightenly close to the tiger who was pacing back and forth.

The peacock was walking around and decided to put on a show for us...

Jace mastered putting his head under water while we were there. Riley copied everything Jace did all week and mastered putting his face in the water after seeing Jace do it.

Wow, that looked like a fun time! It won't be long now and our weather will be warm enough to go swimming. Those cousins are adorable!
