We typically get into the Christmas spirit a little early every year and let Riley and Sully open their present from Grammy early. With the hustle and bustle on Christmas morning, it's overwhelming. When we let them open a present early, they focus and enjoy it a lot more. So today we got on Skype so Grammy could watch the boys open their presents.
This is one of the first things Riley picked out of the Lego catalog a couple of months ago and has been talking about it every since. It's an Alien Conquest set and comes with a truck, a couple of ships, lots of aliens, and astronauts. He was so excited when he opened it...he said, "This is exactly what I wanted!"
Sully got a Thomas pirate ship and loved it also...he said "thank you!" without being prompted!
Since the Alien Conquest is for ages 14+, Riley needed a bit of help putting it together...of course there were no complaints from the engineer!
Riley stated "Grammy picked a really good gift!" Now he's got a whole week to play with it before the big day...I'm hoping we can pry it out of his hands tomorrow when it's time to go to school!
