Between the obsession with Legos, Star Wars, comic books, and now chess...Riley is a true nerd in the making! He watched a Christmas cartoon on Netflix this weekend and the main character played chess -- Riley asked Cody if he could play too!
So we pulled out the chess board and Cody taught Riley where all the pieces go and how they move.
Riley hasn't quite grasped the concept of "rules"...he knows the "horsey" is the only piece who can jump other pieces but he ends up jumping pieces with whatever piece he wants.
He knows the pawns can only move one space forward but they end up moving where ever he wants them to! His favorite part is knocking over the piece he is about to take.
