We took the kids to Cincinnati this weekend with our friends Nick, Katie and Nathan...we had an awesome time! First stop was the children's museum in the old train terminal...
Sully's language skills are growing by leaps and bounds every week -- this weekend he was all about mimicing. Uh-oh!
He loved the first stop -- the ball pit.
Lots of pulleys and gadgets to experiment with...Riley loved it too!
Next stop was the water table.
Then on to the woods area where there was a big fish tank with turtles!
Sully got lots of fine motor skills practice with the toddler activities.
He loved pretending like he was driving!
One of his favorite activities was playing with daddy at the lego table and mimicing the animal sounds.
Riley in a rare pose....he didn't stop long enough to get many non-blurry photos the entire weekend!
Riley and Nathan hung out at the sand table for quite a while.
This is the squinty face I've been getting from Riley these days when I ask him to say cheese.
There was an area to play some music which Riley and Sully both really enjoyed.
Riley pretending to be trapped in the spider web.
After lunch we went upstairs to the train station control tower -- there was lots of train activity on the tracks and even a train table which Sully discovered very quickly.
After the train tower it was back to the toddler area for some more play action!

When Sully took a snooze in the afternoon, we took Riley to the Natural History museum which was also part of the train station.
He was fascinated by the cockroaches...yuck!
Our little scientist!
More bugs!
One of his favorites -- the astronaut suit!
Daddy was fascinated with the mummy.
Riley also enjoyed the dinosaurs.
Cody took the first picture...
And here's Riley's mad face after Cody said he wanted a second picture!
Saturday night we had dinner at the Montgomery Inn on the riverfront...yummy chicken and ribs! We even managed to get a decent picture of all the boys -- amazing!
And Sunday was spent at the zoo...first exhibit we got up close and personal with a sloth. This thing was hanging right above our heads...nothing between him and us!
The macaw was beautiful...and loud!
Same with the peacocks walking around all over the place...beautiful but loud!
Got a good shot of the monkey...just hangin' around.
This little guy was Riley's favorite and the reason we went to the zoo -- Riley absolutely loves penguins!!!

MO! That sloth's name is Mo, as in Slow Mo. :) I took a graduate class at the zoo one year and our classes were in that building. We'd come out and watch him during our breaks. That zoo is beautiful. Even being up here with the Columbus Zoo, I think that's a pretty awesome zoo. :)
Looks like lots of fun!:)
