Nannie and Pappy's House

The first stop on our week long Florida trip was Nannie and Pappy's house! Both boys got to spend some quality time with their grandparents...

Nannie and Pappy live on a golf course which provides the boys with the world's biggest sandbox!

Riley and Sully were practicing their groundskeeping skills and loving it!

And of course you can't play in the world's largest sandbox without making sand castles!

The main reason for our trip was Cody's swim meet in Ft Lauderdale -- YMCA Nationals. He did awesome...placed first in his age group in 6 out of 8 events -- only five months after having a separated shoulder repaired via surgery! His team did really well too...placed 7th out of 45 teams! Riley and I drove down to catch the last day of the meet and saw Cody swim two events. The first event we saw, the 50 breaststroke:

In between events, Riley got a Dayton Area Sharks tatt. According to Riley, it was going to make him swim very fast in Nannie and Pappy's pool!

And the very last event of the meet, the 50 backstroke.

The boys favorite part of the trip -- Nannie and Pappy's pool!

Riley putting his face under and swimming like a big boy!

Sully loved being thrown in the air!

Cody and I got to enjoy a fun evening out with Trish, Johnnie and Emily...we took a water taxi to Guanabanas and had an awesome meal!

The last day we took the boys to see the turtles...Sully had a hard time staying awake on the drive there.

But perked up when he saw the fishies!

All of the turtles had boo-boos from boat propellers or big fish...some worse than others.

My little munchkins!

Arrrrrgh matey...Sully loved the pirate ship playground behind the turtle sanctuary.

So that's the quick and dirty on the three days we spent in Tequesta with Nannie and Pappy...next stop, Orlando!
