Splash Pad

We took the boys to check out a new "splash pad" this weekend...that's the newest term for parks with water play areas. We were a little concerned about the weather so we decided to grab some brunch first...Riley and his friend, Carson, enjoyed sharing the umbrella.

When we got to the park, the rain let up so we were able to let the boys play for quite a while. The three little guys -- Sully, Evan and Nathan -- enjoyed the huge sandbox!

And once we figured out how to turn the water on, the boys had a blast at the splash pad!

Standing in the middle of this fountain was a big hit and the boys took turns!

There was a high tech teeter toter...we had to teach Riley and Carson teeter toter etiquette about not jumping off when you're at the bottom so the other person slams to the ground!

The little guys loved the dump trucks in the sand!

There were some other random things...this spun around in a circle so the boys jumped on and Nick spun them around. Riley didn't want to go very fast but Carson kept asking to go faster!

Same story on this one...Carson kept saying "faster!" and Riley was yelling, "No, I don't want to go faster!" Riley is getting cautious in his old age!

The rain held off for about 90 minutes for us -- perfect timing with all the little guy's nap times! We'll definitely be checking this park out a lot more this summer.
