A Letter to Riley on His Birthday

Dear Riley,

Exactly one year ago from today you came into the world and things have never been the same for us.

You have absolutely made us the happiest parents in the universe. You amaze us every single day with the new things you learn. You have spoiled us with how laid back and fun you are. You have the sweetest disposition and are always up for a hug or kiss, which happens quite often throughout the day. Neither of us can get enough time with you and after a year we still argue over who gets the coveted "dream bottle" and bedtime story. We can't wait to watch you grow up...but not too fast, we hope!


Every second we spend with you we feel love, amazement, and happiness. Your smile brings us a feeling of pure joy. It makes us think that we're the luckiest parents in the world. We have enjoyed so much over the last year but we are very excited to see who you become as you grow. We will do our best to give you an environment that will allow you to become a happy, healthy, strong, and wise man.
